Esforços para a Conformidade com Critérios de Acessibilidade no Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático

Neste artigo são discutidos vários aspectos, incluindo a estrutura do Universal Design for Learning (UDL), padrões de conformidade para recursos digitais, o histórico de padrões de acessibilidade, o Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático (PNLD) e a melhoria dos processos de acessibilidade em materiais digitais no PNLD. Foi realizada uma fase preliminar de busca nas chamadas públicas de livros do PNLD. Posteriormente, as chamadas públicas foram caracterizadas segundo os critérios de análise: (1) tecnologia digital adotada para a versão acessível do livro; (2) nível de detalhe dos critérios de acessibilidade; e (3) se a acessibilidade obedece aos critérios do UDL. A mudança de arquivos PDF para livros digitais em HTML5 exemplifica o compromisso do PNLD com a inclusão. No entanto, o programa carece de requisitos de acessibilidade mais específico e descrições claras e detalhadas.
